Second Grade is a wonderful year where your child will learn to work more independently. There are many new skills in 2nd grade. You will be amazed at all we will cover this year!
Our Cool Cat newsletter goes home every Friday.
It will have the I Can statements (skills for the week), math facts, phonics skills,
important dates/reminders, etc.
Please check your Cool Cat’s take home folder and backpack daily.
Be sure your Cool Cat is reading for AR. Cool Cats should read a minimum of 20-30 minutes everyday.

1 Blue BES Homework (Nicky) Folder (available in the BES bookstore)
1 set of dependable headphones (We use these daily.)
2 boxes yellow #2 pencils (pre-sharpened is so nice!)
1 pair Fiskar scissors
2 boxes Crayola crayons (24 count)
2 Composition notebooks
2 giant glue sticks
8 Expo black dry erase markers
2 yellow highlighters
1 large box ziplock bags (quart)
