Red Ribbon/Healthy Choices Week Celebration (Oct. 26-30) Was A Huge Success
Thank you to all parents who encouraged their children to participate in our Red Ribbon/Healthy Choices Week celebration.  It was great seeing so many of our students and faculty members unite for such a great cause.   Our annual basketball shoot-out was a huge hit again this year.  Before each class took the court, we talked with them about the importance of keeping their bodies clean and free of drugs.  Each class competed against another class in their grade level to show that we've got better things to do than drugs.  Huge shout out and Panther Paw Praise to our P.E. teachers, their student teachers, Miss Nancy, Mr. Garcia and our teachers and students.

 Donations For Food Baskets

Thank you to all parents who sent in canned goods for our food baskets.  These baskets are going to make our school families very happy during the coming season.  Your generosity is always greatly appreciated.

Dental Team Visits Bartlett Elementary

The Shelby County Health Department School Based Dental Prevention Team was at Bartlett Elementary during November 2-9 to provide free dental sealants to students who returned a signed parental consent form.  A dental sealant is a protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of the permanent teeth to prevent cavities.  Ask your child what they learned from the dental presentation.  If you received a dental survey from me (Mrs. Crutchfield, the counselor) please return it to school tomorrow.  I appreciate the feedback.

Coats for Kids

We are collecting gently used winter coats and jackets for Bartlett Elementary students who don't have a coat.  Check your closets!  If your child has outgrown his or her coat, please consider donating it to a student who needs a coat.  Please wash the coat or jacket before you send it to school.  Send all coat donations to Mrs. Crutchfield's attention.  Thank you.
