All About Me!

I am excited to teach 5th Grade ELA and Social Studies at Bartlett Elementary School this year. This is my 7th year in Education, and my 5th year teaching in Tennessee. I previously taught at Macon Hall Elementary School in Cordova. Prior to moving to Tennessee, my husband and I lived in Virginia Beach.  I worked in the beauty industry for ten years before finishing my degree and pursuing a career in education. I have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and am currently enrolled in the IDT certificate program at University of Memphis with plans to transition to their Doctoral program in the Spring of 2024.

 

I also love the theatre. I founded the drama club at Macon Hall and directed the first play the school had hosted in years. I hope to also bring that love of theatre to BES.

 

I absolutely love to read, and you can typically find me either reading professional development books or totally fluffy fiction.

 

I have two daughters, three dogs, and my husband is also in Education.
