Building Creativity in Our Classrooms Thanks to the Arts

BES is lucky to be an Arts Integrated School. Arts360 grants support whole-school arts integration programs to improve instruction and increase student outcomes through arts integration, making arts-based learning a critical component of every child’s educational experience.
Recently, Teaching artist Noelia Garcia Carmona from New Ballet Ensemble visited BES to lead classes in learning the flamenco. Click on the headline to read an article in the Nashville Arts magazine about Arts Integration.

We will be having our 4th Annual Panther Prowl on November 21st! With this type of fundraiser, 100% of the money raised will go directly to our school to help purchase things like iPads and Promethean boards.

To donate online, visit

• Collect flat donations from friends and family prior to the event.
• Donations will be turned in between October 25th – November 1st. For every $30 donation, you will receive a Panther Prowl t-shirt. We will have these in the classroom and ready for Prowl Day.
• Students will Prowl with their class around the school on our walking path, Lawhon Lane during school on November 21, 2017.
• At the end of the course, we will have torture stations set up so that classes that have raised $800 or more will be able to throw pies or water balloons at their teachers.

If someone in your family or circle of friends owns a business, I have also included a letter that you can use to request business donations. These businesses will be thanked with advertising in print media, social media and on Prowl t-shirts. Business donations will count toward the student’s total donations.

$5 donation = paw print tattoo & No Homework Pass
$10 donation = paw print tattoo, No Homework Pass, & Fidget Spinner
$30 donation = Panther Prowl T-Shirt
