Welcome Cool Cats!

Second Grade is a wonderful year where your child will learn to work more independently. There are many new skills in 2nd grade. You will be amazed at all we will cover this year! Our Cool Cat newsletter goes home every Friday. It will have the I Can statements (skills for the week), spelling and reading vocabulary words, math facts, reminders, etc. Homework goes home every Friday, and is due the following Friday.
I will post them here as well, just in case.
Homework is located in the Ms. U's 2nd Grade Cool Cats Classes section below.
Please check your Cool Cat’s take home folder and backpack daily.
Be sure your Cool Cat is reading for AR. Cool Cats should read a minimum of 20-30 minutes everyday.
Join our PTO! $5.00 a membership. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles...anybody can join. We have an amazing PTO; they do so much for our school.

Earth Day

The Cool Cats had a blast going green and helping make BES look great.
We planted flowers and host plants for swallowtail butterflies, we made the front of the building look nice, and we took a long "trash walk" around the building.
